Bear in mind that a juice and a smoothie are 2 different things. You make a smoothie with a blender, and a juice with a juice extractor. It’s a bit more difficult to blend apples for example, but you can blend pineapples, mangos, cucumbers, melon, etc. Here is another example, you can’t juice a banana, it’s way to soft and you wouldn’t get any juice out of it.

1. Start with a base
Water
Coconut water
Plant milk (unsweetened of course)
Chilled tea or herbal infusion
2. Choose your fruit
Bananas (the riper the better)
Berries
Cherries
Mango
Kiwi
Papaya
Orange
Peaches
3. Choose your vegetable
Spinach
Kale
Cucumber
Courgette
4. Choose boosters & flavourings – in the blender
Dry spices (cinnamon, ginger, cardamon, turmeric)
Fresh herbs (parsley, coriander)
Fresh ginger
Fresh turmeric
Seeds (flax seeds, chia seeds)
Maca Powder
Spirulina, etc.
5. Add a healthy fat (but you don’t have to) – in the blender
Coconut oil
Flax oil
6. Make it thicker (again, optional) – in the blender
Nut butter
Chia seeds
Flax seeds
Rolled oats
Greek yogurt
Avocado
7. Add an extra sweetener (optional obviously)
Medjool dates (or just soft dates)
Raw honey
Pure maple syrup
Here is a tip : Add a few ice cubes or frozen fruits (berries for example), it makes the smoothies much creamier!
